    Intro

    |Hands up those who think this will be anything other than a thrashing? Nobody? Thought so.

    Even in our glory years with Ronald Koeman as manager, we seldom manage more than a point against them, home or away. In our present stage of emerging from a chrysalis, it is hard to tell whether the team is a beautiful butterfly set to dazzle or a moth destined to be fried by the bright lights. However, it looks like the latter will be our fate this season.

    It was a bitter pill to swallow, losing to Leicester with almost the last kick of the game at St.Mary’s, especially after Saints had been leading 2-0 at halftime. What it has done to the team’s confidence can only be guessed at, but if there were one team in the Premier League you would rather not face in the very next fixture, then chances are that would be Manchester City.

    So, who can we expect to see? The Echo was predicting a 5-3-2 lineup:

    • Ramsdale
    • Walker-Peters, Harwood-Bells, Bednarek, Stephens, Manning;
    • Downes, Aribo, Fernandes;
    • Dibling, Archer.

    It seemed to have a sort of logic to it, but we all know that Martin will probably come out with something completely leftfield

    Adam Lallana was the wise head in midfield we needed. If only he could last the whole match
