After the excitement of three wins in a row, although only one of those, against the hapless Everton, was a League game, it was back to 'Fortress St.Mary's'. Hah! If only. Would the three wins translate into some sort of confidence when playing in front of their own fans?
Today's opponents, Aston Villa have been on a bit of a run themselves and of course they can now boast that they have the Argentine World Cup winning keeper, Martinez. Thankfully we did not have to see Danny Ings playing against us, as he was transferred to West Ham during the week for about £15M.
As for our team, there was just one change from the side that vanquished Everton, with Adam Armstrong replacing Elyounoussi.
