|Leicester are probably going to win the Championship, so this will be a good marker of where Saints are this season. For one reason or another, Saints have had problems getting the probable first-choice players together on the pitch simultaneously. As a result, I am not expecting to see the team firing on all cylinders until the end of October, after the second international break.
Leicester appointed Enzo Maresca as manager after he had allegedly turned down Southampton and he seems to be doing a really good job so far. They play in a similar fashion to Saints, only they don't leak goals like a colander. So, that doesn't bode well for our encounter.
|The team had a couple of surprises, firstly Harwood-Bellis was in for his first start, alongside Charles at the heart of the defence. The other pleasant surprise was Fraser making his first start. The midfield seemed to be Smallbone, Downes and Adam Armstrong, with Fraser and Edozie on either side of Adams. While the defence made sense to me, the players in front of that struck me as having too many weak spots for my liking.
Saints wear the red and white striped home kit, with black shorts and white socks.
The game didn't start well with Leicester scoring after 21 seconds, but didn't end well either, with Sulemana getting a straight red deep into time added on
