Then the second signing was made on the 8th August, when Saints broke their transfer record by signing midfielder, Mario Lemina for a reputed £18.5M (€21M) from Juventus. One for the present then.
The final summer signing in 2017 was Dutch International centre back, Wesley Hoedt, signed from Lazio for a reported fee of £15M (€17M)
In the January 2018 window the club signed just one player, the Argentinian striker Guido Carrillo, from Fench Ligue 1 side, Monaco for a club record £19M (€21.5M)
