Signed from Swiss club, Basle on the 26th June 2018, Elyounoussi is a 23 year old Norwegian International forward/winger. Although born in Morocco, he was brought up in Norway. Mohammed has scored 24 goals in 84 games in two seasons at Basle.

Signed from Manchester City on the 10th July 2018. Gunn is a 22 year old goalkeeper and son of former Norwich goalkeeper and manager Bryan Gunn. Although highly thought of by City, he was never likely to get much in the way of opportunities at the club, so they agreed to a transfer to Southampton.

On the 13th July Saints announced that they had signed the 25 year old Danish international central defender, Jannik Vestergaard from German side Borussia Mönchengladbach on a four year deal. Vestergaard is 6’7” and appears to be the dominating defender that we have missed since van Dijk’s move to Liverpool last January.

On Thursday, 9th August 2018, right at the death of the summer transfer window, Saints announced the signing of Liverpool striker, Danny Ings, on an initial one year loan deal. At the conclusion the loan will be converted to a full transfer rumoured to be worth up to £20M.
