Intro and Team News

|This was a match where I didn't expect Saints to get anything at all, except embarrassed, although Ralph did spend some time during the week stressing how he was much happier with the depth of the squad and how he would pick 'different qualities' depending on the opposition.
City were in action in the Champions League on Wednesday, winning an exciting match with Red Bull Leipzig (Ralph's old team), 6-3. Apart from this, they have also won the last three games in a row, without conceding a single goal.
Balanced against that, Saints were still looking for their first win of the season, but after that loss away to Everton in the first week of the season, haven't lost since.
When the Saints team was announced we had an inkling of what Ralph's comments during the week might mean, when we saw recalls for Ché Adams, Jan Bednarek and Kyle Walker-Peters, with Salisu, Perraud and Djenepo dropping to the bench. Though what the formation might look like remained to be seen.
