Intro and Team News

|With the previous game against Newcastle at St.Mary's having been postponed for Covid reasons with the away team, this was the first Premier League match the team had played since the 1-1 draw with Spurs at St.Mary's on the 28th December. However, there had been the FACup game at Swansea, which Saints won 2-3, just three days ago.
Jan Valery had been sent off in that game, so was unavailable for todays game.
Ralph made just three changes to the starting line-up, but changed to five at the back. With Forster in goal, in front of him were a back three of Bednarek, Lyanco and Salisu, with Tella and Perraud as the right and left back. Midfield were Ward-Prowse, Romeu and Diallo, with Redmond and Broja as the two forwards.
The new owners, well two out of the three, were present to watch their first match since the takeover. Money man Dragan Solak was getting the majority of the publicity and he appeared to be quite happy with that.
Ché Adams was back and scored Saints 4th within five minutes of coming on for Nathan Redmond to round off a fantastic evening
