    Intro

    |For the second time this season a Dean Smith side comes to St.Mary's for a Premier League match. Back on the 7 November last year he was in charge of Aston Villa, who Saints defeated 1-0 and two days later Villa parted company with their manager. Now Smith is in charge of a struggling Norwich side.

Saints themselves are a different proposition to the side Smith saw back then and prior to kick-off, Hasenhuttl expressed the view that positive results against clubs near the top of the table had instilled confidence in his team. Indeed, they come into this match with just one defeat from the last 12 in all competitions and not having lost at home since September.

    |Another win at home. Another 2-0. A winning habit is established. Out of thirteen home matches, Saints have only lost one. We haven't had a season like this at St.Mary's in the Premier League for a long, long time

Life got in the way of a full report.

Oriol Romeu scored a cracking goal to clinch all three points, beating ex-Saints keeper, Angus Gunn
